Real Weddings: Amy + Will's Romantic Sunset Wedding at The Boulders
There’s nothing more romantic than a sunset wedding. Unless that sunset wedding is set in a beautiful southwestern desert, surrounded by remarkable rock formations and saguaro cacti. The southwest desert is 100% my favorite place to travel. I’ve spent two weeks traveling through Utah and Arizona and know that if St. Louis wasn’t my home—somewhere in the west would be.
I just knew from the initial meeting that I had with Amy, this was a project aligned in the stars. Her and William were getting married on a beautiful property in Scottsdale, appropriately named The Boulders. The iconic rock formation was going to be the backdrop for their ceremony. As we talked through the style of their day, it was clear that they weren’t looking for that usual boho look, instead their style was warm, elevated, and modern.
What we created was a gorgeous letterpress suite in rich shades of terracotta and warm white, creating nods to the southwest desert landscape. Their design started with the Everett invitation suite and customized it just for them. We incorporated a hand drawn illustration of The Boulders on their invitation and included drawings of cacti throughout the entire Collection, from the modern response card (utilizing a QR code to help guests land right on their website!) to the table numbers and menus at their gorgeous tables.
