What better way to celebrate #WeddingWednesday than with a beautiful and fun way to ask your closest friends to share in celebrating your special day with you?
Now that the high of getting proposed to has worn off a little bit (just kidding, it probably hasn’t!) it’s time to who it is that’s going to stand next to you as you get married. For some, that decision has been made way before the proposal even happened, but for others, it’s about nailing down the number that feels right.
For some, it only makes sense to have eight or nine accompanying you down the aisle, especially if you have a large family with a lot of siblings, or your guest count is high. While for other, more intimate gatherings, having just your best friend by your side is all that you need.
No matter what your style is, it’s always fun to drum up creative ways to pop the question to your friends. After all, while being part of your special day is an honor, it’s also a time and monetary investment for them, so why not share a little gift to show them how much they mean to you?

Just like your love story is unique, so is the way to ask your friends to be part of your wedding party. It should be thoughtful and reflect your style; over the top and elaborate? Go for it. Thoughtful and sentimental? You do you. And the way that you ask your friends to be part of your wedding does not have to be the same way that your partner asks their friends. It should reflect each of you as an individual.
One of my favorite ways to ask your friends to share in your big day is with a thoughtful gift box. There are many amazing places online that you can create curated boxes—some of my favorites include Box Fox, Teak and Twine, and Love and Found. They all offer carefully curated options fit for any style.
If a simpler gift is more your style, another great way to ask your friends to be part of your wedding party is with a thoughtful, handwritten note and a personal (read: full-size ;-)) bottle of champagne, their favorite wine or whiskey.
For my own wedding, I asked my gals with a note reflecting on how much they mean to me and attached it to a mini bottle of bubbles. It was what felt right for my small wedding party. (But, I did go the DIY gift box route for gifts on the day of the wedding to thank them for putting up with me throughout the entire process!)
So no matter your style, remember to include a handwritten note. And if you’re looking for modern and beautiful cards to ask your friends to stand next to you on your big day, you can download a set of four notecards below!
