Each time I see a gallery from one of my couples’ weddings I’m always reminded how amazing and unique each and every one of them is. As a stationer I’m never there the day of, so until the photos come in, I only get to daydream about how perfect their wedding day was.
While designing Courtney and Austin’s reception and day-of items, I had this vision in my head about their wedding. During our consultation as Courtney was chatting about their style, I felt as though I could envision their wedding day perfectly.
That is until I saw the gallery from Courtney Lee Photography. It was a million times more beautiful than I could have pictured. One of my favorite planning groups to work with here in St. Louis are the ladies at Altar’d Events and they helped with the coordination of this event. I should have known that it was going to be an absolute dream.
I loved getting to play a small role in bringing this vision to life through menu and place card design, as well as weekend agenda booklets.

There’s nothing more classic than a black and white color palette for a wedding. It’s one that never goes out of style and it’s so easy to make cool and modern, or in the case of Paris and Joe, chic and timeless.
I had the honor to work with Paris and Joe on their February wedding. The two were the epitome of soulmates, having been in each other’s lives since they were kids. It was such a blessing to get to work with them from their save the dates all the way to their day-of materials and help bring their chic black-tie vision to life with the coordinating and planning from the ladies at Altar’d Events, one of the best group of St. Louis wedding planners.
Paris and Joe’s wedding vision was a simple and classic one: lots of creamy whites, over-the-top greenery and florals, with chic pops of gold and black. It was the ultimate black-tie affair hosted at Central West End venue the St. Louis Woman’s Club.
The two were a dream couple to work with and their wedding was like a fairytale.

What I love most about working with couples on their wedding invitations and stationery is getting to see how it all comes together. When meeting with clients it’s important to be able to discuss what they envision their wedding style to be. Traditional and classic? Modern and funky? Unique yet timeless? These are all things that we discuss during our meetings.
It’s also important to shine a light on each couple’s unique love story throughout their wedding planning. Whether it be from incorporating unique details into their wedding invitation and stationery design, choosing florals that have personal meaning, or even getting married at a venue that holds significance. All of these little touches help to make each wedding unique, thoughtful, and 100% a reflection of a couple’s love.
This was especially true when I met with Gabrielle to discuss her and Martin’s special day. They got engaged during the total eclipse in 2017 and that little special detail carried through all of their wedding paper goods. From their celestial-themed circular save the dates to the special star maps that they put together as place settings for their guests. One small detail that was so personal to them was the anchor for many decisions made during the day.
