Curated: Over 40 shades of paper to mix and match with your envelope colors.
LWD: The options are endless—choose a hue from your custom palette or ask us what else we can dream up.
We’ve curated a range of on-trend colors for endless color combinations that feel fresh and fun.
Make a bold first impression with a pop of color, go classic with your preferred white hue, or add some shimmer. Mix it up by choosing different colors for each envelope (mailing, inner & response).
A classic for a reason.
Letterpress printing adds depth and texture to any design.
Our Print-Your-Own option is ideal for couples planning to be hands-on with their invitations—but still want a designer’s experienced eye.
When you order print-your-own invitations, we’ll work with you to customize your selected suite, just as we do with semi-custom clients who print with us. When you’ve signed off on the final proof, you’ll receive print-ready files you can use anywhere, plus a list of online printers we know and love.
We completely understand! Sometimes you get started customizing your invitations and realize that you want to take it even further.
Just let us know, and as long as there’s ample time, we’re happy to upgrade you so that you can customize as much as you need.
Enhancements such as vellum wraps, wax seals, and letterpress printing can be added no matter which experience you’ve selected.
Of course! You can order a sample pack here. The fee is $20, but if you decide to work with us on custom or semi-custom design, it will be applied as a credit to your final invoice.
If there’s a specific invitation suite or color swatch you want to hold in your hands, let us know when you order your samples and we’ll do our best.
We currently have 27 suites to choose from, in a wide (and we do mean wide) range of styles. Some are minimalist and typography-driven. Others have hand-drawn illustrations, and others take inspiration from classic art.
You’ll start by choosing the suite you’ll use as your starting point.
From there, you’ll be able to customize as much—or as little—as you want, from printing methods to additional inserts. Our online builder shows you how each change affects the total cost (try it for yourself).
Within the builder, you can select The Curated Experience or The Leighwood Experience to unlock additional support and ways to customize.
After you’ve completed your initial design, you’ll have the option to pay in full or make a 50% deposit. We’ll send our first proof based on how much time remains before your wedding, and you’ll get 3 rounds of proofs.
During the proofing phase, we’ll also select colors and styles for any enhancements, including envelope liners, wax seals, and ribbons.
Absolutely—there’s nothing we love more than helping our couples use paper to tell their story from beginning to end. Each semi-custom design has coordinating day-of paper, and we also offer acrylic signage, matches, and more.
If there’s something else you need, drop us an email and we’ll work with you.
Please note that we do not offer day-of paper as an à la carte option; it’s only available for clients who are working with us on their semi-custom or custom invitations.
There is a $150 customization fee for all day-of collections that include more than 3 customized products.
Unlike many print-on-demand companies, we don’t print our semi-custom invitations in-house. That means that we always aim to send your design to our printing partner at least 4 weeks before you plan to mail your invitations. This allows us plenty of time for quality checks before we send anything to you.
If you’re fewer than 4 weeks away from needing to mail out your invitations, we may be able to accommodate you, depending on our schedule. You can reach out to us at orders@leighwooddesignstudio.com for availability and rush fees.
Absolutely! We offer custom monogram and illustration services. Monograms start at $50 for a simple design, and illustrations start at $125. Final pricing varies based on the complexity of the design. (ie, line drawings are priced differently from watercolor work). Price DOES NOT include licensing or file release, which is an additional $125 fee.
For sure. If you place your order and then decide you think it would look better in letterpress or with a ribbon and vellum wrap, we can invoice you separately for the additional add-ons. If you're unsure about any add-ons during your ordering process, we can always proof the enhancement for you before deciding.
Because of our client load, we aren’t able to provide proofs before booking. You can get a sense of your colors by using our live invitation builder, browsing our portfolio, or ordering a sample pack.
