xoxo — A Modern City Wedding Editorial
Have you ever looked at a photo and wished that you were that cool? This set of photos, captured by Steph Masat, make me feel that way. When Joyce from Be My Guest Events reached out to me asking if I wanted to take part in a sultry Gossip Girl inspired editorial shoot, my answer was an emphatic YES.
In my early 20s I was in love with the original Gossip Girl series. Chuck Bass, hello. There was something about the modern opulence of Upper East Side living that seemed so cool and chic.
For this shoot we created a layered menu design in shades of pink. We wanted to complement the lush tablescape with a chic, modern design.
This shoot took that sexy, upper class vibe and made it cool and modern. The color palette was sultry and luxe, with rich shades of rouge, black, and gold. The couple’s attire was sleek and modern, definitely no your traditional wedding gowns here. And can we talk about the vintage convertible?
The Dogwood, located in the Grove neighborhood of St. Louis, was the perfect venue for this editorial shoot—it has the feel of a classy upscale cocktail bar with luxe, modern finishes and rich, bold design elements.
